Design Thinking (10+ Hours)

Before diving into User Center Design (UCD) examine the philosophy from which UCD and many innovative frameworks have emerged: design thinking. Grounded in empathy and a hands-on iterative approach to problem solving, design thinking is the mindset designers like you will use to create effective user experiences.

The key aspects of design thinking include:

• Empathy: a user-centered approach means you observe and engage the people you're designing a product for
• Problem definition: a good solution depends on addressing the right problem
• Idea creation through divergent and convergent thinking: ideation will help you consider many possible solutions
• Prototyping: this will allow you to test those possible solutions
• Testing: feedback from real people will help you to test out and improve your ideas and eventually move on to creating impactful solutions
